We’re Back In-Person for Summer Intensives 2021!

We are excited to be fully open and in-person for our upcoming summer programs! Students and teachers will be present in the same studio, while still adhering to our safety guidelines. We will be limiting class sizes to a maximum of 8 students over 80 feet and will still have our virtual setup available for those who are out of town/country or want to remain at home. For the full information on our in-studio safety guidelines, please read here.

Why should you train with us now more than ever?

Our training has always been about reacting and finding solutions to the current needs of dancers as it is constantly changing.

More than ever, small classes are the only way. It is a substantial difference if a teacher needs to observe and give corrections to 8 students versus 30 students during a one to two minute ballet class combination. The way this happens in a class:

120 seconds / 8 students = 15 seconds for the teacher to observe and communicate to each student

Compared to…

120 seconds / 30 students = 4 seconds for the teacher to observe and communicate to each student

Giving general corrections are only partially effective and taking too much time between the combinations for corrections stops or slows down the pace of the class.

Other major time factors for giving corrections in a well-communicated and speedy manner are how insightful, energetic, and progressive a teacher is. Also, how cohesively the faculty is led by director Lilla Séber, with her 30 years of teaching experience. Each and every student has a monthly personalized training plan, in addition to their personalized schedule, that is reflected in the corrections that they receive.
